What is Celia network?

By | June 18, 2023

Traditionally, networks have been specializing in a particular type of service: telephony, data, television, its structure
and operation mode had been established by the same. Nowadays, the trend is building unique, integrated, multiservice networks that support the connection by different means, with common transport infrastructure and access.
Thus they can achieve higher efficiency in their operations and reduce costs at the same time they can have a unified
management.
Deploying triple play services, integrated package of Internet services, telephony, and television on optical fiber can
reach long distances and problems like noise, attenuation, and interference are minimized because it is used as
energy source the light, thus no repeaters are needed and it is able to respond to a wider range of users thanks to
wavelength division multiplexing. Celia With all the advantages of fiber optics as a transmission mean, Passive Optical
Networks (PON) have now become one of the best technological options for access networks.
In Celia, at present, it is necessary the deployment of solutions for broadband access associated to the
computerization process of society and prioritized networks of health and education, as well as networks linked to
the production of software, science centers, universities and further treatment and upgrading of the copper outside
plant. Also our networks must be equipped with advanced technologies that are able to accommodate future
changes and achieve the necessary connectivity at each site, ensuring prompt service and quality.

Characterization of the stage Celia:

The center under consideration in this investigation is located close to the path of the optical fiber in the ring1 of
STM-1 level of the provincial network, compounded by the sites of Media Luna, Niquero, Pilon, Marae del Portillo,
Campechuela and Manzanillo Call Centers. The anillo1 has a capacity of 63 streams occupied form a total of 64
which allows it to be a STM-1 level, leaving free only one flow. To solve this problem, at least 5 flows are needed: 1
for the digital board, 1 for management of mobile and 3 to secure the services of existing data in the center, so the
hospital can not be inserted as a new node in this ring.

Work On Celia:
The single-mode optical fiber cable G.652D, which is used in this area is composed of 12 fibers, of which 8 are part
of networks into rings and 2 are based on the submissions of the Armed Forces, Interior Ministry
telecommunications and other relevant agencies, therefore only a few fibers are not used, this enables us to propose
a solution through a more rational system that uses this means of transmission. Basically, this is an EPON network,
which would occupy one of these fibers, which are not in use for the link and the other reserve would ensure the
protection of the new network.
The cables that support the link has more than 25 years, and it has been repaired several times, its parameters have
been degraded and are inadequate for the traffic generated in that area of the province, as there is a health cluster
around the hospital centers such as the Polytechnic of Health, the Psychiatric Hospital, Faculty of Medicine and
others such as UCI, a School named Los Caimitos and the Guacanayabo Hotel.

Equipment proposed Celia:

The optical equipment proposed for implementing the link are as follows: in the Call Center will be installed a OLT
S6503 Ethernet switch [10] and in the Celia Sanchez Hospital will be placed an ONU ET204 [6] and 1:8 optical
splitter.

  1.  Celia Identify your equipment needs: Determine the specific requirements and functionalities you are looking for in the equipment. Consider factors such as budget, technical specifications, compatibility, and any specific features or capabilities you require.
  2. Research equipment options: Conduct thorough research to explore various equipment options available in the market. Look for reputable manufacturers or suppliers that specialize in the type of equipment you need. Consider factors such as quality, reliability, customer reviews, and after-sales support. Contact vendors: Reach out to the vendors or suppliers of the equipment you’re interested in. Celia Provide them with your requirements and ask for detailed product information, including specifications, pricing, warranty, and delivery timelines. Request quotes from multiple vendors to compare and evaluate the options available.

Evaluate proposals: Once you receive the equipment proposals, carefully review and compare them. Pay attention to factors such as equipment performance, quality, pricing, warranty, maintenance requirements, and any additional services or benefits
